Our specialized Afterburn workouts use a combination of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Active Rest Training to get your body to burn up to twice the fat and calories that traditional workouts burn in only half the time. They also keep your metabolism working at a higher rate for up to 32 hours after each workout.
Every group training session is led by an experienced and certified personal trainer and is designed to be fun, high energy, and challenging so that you burn the maximum fat and tone your muscles.

Art Ruffin, Owner & Head Coach
My name is Art Ruffin, and I have been a fitness enthusiast, and professional certified personal trainer for more than 10 years. Before moving to Los Angeles, I studied at Clark College in Ohio, where I studied criminal justice and also played basketball. Even before that, I grew up and attended high school in Columbus.
Although I had participated in athletics throughout my life, it wasn’t until a family tragedy occurred that I became more focused on personal fitness. The death of a cousin prompted me to explore a future in personal security. In that role, I realized that in order to be the most prepared I could be to do my job well, I needed to take my own health and fitness to the next level.
It was in this role, protecting and keeping people safe, that I realized just how much I enjoyed helping people. It was this epiphany that pushed me to pursue a career in personal fitness. Helping people was in my blood, and while I enjoyed giving people security, giving people the tools and knowledge to help themselves offered even more satisfaction.
There is nothing I enjoy more than helping people achieve goals they thought maybe were impossible, and watching as clients, many of whom I now call friends, gain the tools and knowledge to keep improving themselves.
